Delivery FAQ’s

Where we deliver to:

We are based in Elstree, Hertfordshire and are currently delivering to WD postcodes, Enfield and Hatfield along with St Albans and Beaconsfield. We can also deliver to most places on the way to central London. We hope to grow our delivery area over the coming weeks, so if you currently are not within our delivery area but would like to receive goods from ourselves, please email us at milkman@directmilk.com and we will let you know as soon as we are delivering in that area.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is free for all orders over £20 and £4.99 for orders below this value.

When do we deliver?

Orders need to be placed by 5pm, 2 days before the delivery day to that area. For example, if you live in St Albans, you would need to place your order by 5pm Saturday for delivery Monday, or 5pm Tuesday for delivery Thursday.

Our aim is to be able to offer our customers up until 10pm the day before their delivery to place their order. We hope to be able to offer this within the next 3 to 4 weeks.

All deliveries will be made after 7am and are predominately made before 12pm.

What is the delivery procedure?

The driver will leave the goods in a carboard tray and will knock on the door upon delivery. The driver will wait a minute to try and see someone for delivery acknowledgement where possible.

Our delivery drivers will all follow social distancing guidelines. We ask that you please do the same. Please allow the driver to put your order down and step away before you open the door and collect your order. If you would like the goods left somewhere else, please leave a note for them to see.

All deliveries are made in refrigerated vehicles.

Additional information

Like many foodservice businesses, we have seen our usual customer base drop significantly and have tried to adapt to the situation by supplying direct to the general public. We ask that you please bear with us whist we adapt to the changes. If for any reason, we are unable to deliver a certain item, we will try to offer a suitable substitute.
